Your first hour with PoolRoutex
Get from signup to a working tech day without a sales call. Follow these steps in order—demo data makes step 2 nearly instant.
For: Owners & office managers · PoolRoutex
- 1
Create your account & company
Sign up with email or Google. No credit card. Name your pool company once—then you land on the dashboard.
- Use your work email so techs recognize invites
- Google sign-in is fine for owners
- 14-day free trial starts when the company is created
- 2
Load demo data (recommended)
On the dashboard, click Load demo route. You’ll get sample customers, a weekly route, and today’s visits so you can try the field app immediately.
- Demo only runs on an empty customer list
- Delete demo customers later if you want a clean book
- Or skip and add real customers instead
- 3
Add real customers (when ready)
Customers are the homes you service. Add name, service address, gate code, and at least one pool.
- Import CSV if you already have a list
- Addresses help weather and field notes
- Gate codes show up on the tech’s phone
- 4
Build a route & generate visits
A route is a service day with stops in order (e.g. Monday East). Open the route, add pools, then generate visits for the weeks ahead.
- Weekly or bi-weekly frequency
- Generate visits so Tech day isn’t empty
- One-off visits are for extras, not your whole book
- 5
Run the day in the field app
Open Field app (/m) on your phone. You’ll see today’s stops. Tap a stop → check in → checklist / chemicals / photos → complete.
- Install to Home Screen for a full-screen app
- Same login as the office
- Office dashboard still shows live status
- 6
Invite a technician
Team → invite by email. They accept the link, then land in the field app. Share this tech guide with them.
- Role: Technician for field-only access
- Admin if they also need office tools
- Billing and inventory can wait until week two
- 7
Optional: weather & billing
Set your service city under Weather or Settings so forecasts match your routes. Billing is optional until you’re ready to invoice.
- Weather uses your city or customer addresses
- Invoices are drafts until you send/pay
- Subscribe only after the free trial if it fits
